A small perfume house with my name on every bottle.
I'm Mazhar Hussain Bodla — Peer to friends and the fragrance community. MHB Essence is my house, and every perfume in it is blended by me, by hand, in our atelier in Johar Town, Lahore.
Why I started
For about ten years I supplied raw materials to the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, and I watched brands big and small choose the cheapest material they could find. I promised myself that if I ever had my own business, I would never compromise on quality and never sell with a lie. In September 2025 I made my first two perfumes, and within two days people had booked them in advance — on trust alone. That trust is still what I work for.
How every bottle is made
- Extrait de Parfum at 40% oil — far richer than an ordinary spray, so a little goes a long way.
- Perfumer's ethanol imported from Germany, with oils from established houses such as Luzi and Givaudan.
- Every batch is macerated for at least 2 months — and we aim for 3 — before bottling, so it settles and matures.
- Made to IFRA standards — though no perfume can promise zero reactions, so patch-test if your skin is sensitive.
Three kinds of perfume, labelled honestly
- Inspired — my own interpretation of a scent you may already know, with an honest match of roughly 90–96%. Never the original, never a copy in a designer bottle.
- Creations — mine from a blank page: Rebel, Lavoud, Oudleather, Blackrain and SRK.
- Authentic — genuine designer perfume, hand-poured from an original retail bottle into a smaller size for you.

Pick any four 10ml bottles in a Discovery Kit and wear them at home before you buy a 50ml or 100ml. Delivery is free on every order.
How we sell
We sell online across Pakistan, with cash on delivery for our perfumes and attars. Visit us in Lahore — call or WhatsApp ahead and we'll be ready for you; walk-ins are welcome during opening hours. Our atelier is where the perfumes are made, and you can buy there or collect an order.
I don't hard-sell. Tell me your mood, the season and what you like, and I'll tell you honestly what each scent does well and where it's softer.
